Some sessions feel like coming full circle—and this one truly did. Townes is the son of my childhood best friend, so documenting his six-month milestone felt incredibly special. There’s something so meaningful about photographing the people who’ve walked through life with you, and being invited into their home to capture these moments made it even more heartfelt.

We kept the session simple and sweet—just Townes, a big kitchen sink sink, and a whole lot of bubbles. Natural light poured through the kitchen windows, wrapping the space in a warm, golden glow. Townes splashed and smiled the entire time, completely in his element. These are the types of images that tell stories for generations: little hands chasing bubbles, wet eyelashes, baby giggles echoing through the home.

His big sister, Tessa, joined in for part of the session and added her own sparkle to the story. She was gentle, silly, and clearly in love with her baby brother. Watching their bond unfold in such a familiar, comfortable setting reminded me just how powerful these everyday spaces can be—your home holds the magic of your family’s story.

Milestone sessions don’t have to be elaborate. Sometimes the most honest, beautiful photos come from letting your little ones be exactly who they are, right where they are. That’s the magic of sessions like this one. No studio setup or perfect poses—just love, connection, and a few splashes of joy.

Townes' bubble bath was more than a session—it was a celebration of how far he’s come, and a reminder of how fast these early days fly by. From newborn snuggles to big baby belly laughs, it all happens in the blink of an eye.
